How to use a range extender to extend my wifi network
The most requested service from our clients is to extend the range of their Wifi network. To do this I use a range extender. This article is for anyone that can not get a strong wifi connection in their place of residence, or business.
What is a range extender?
us.hitrontech.com describes a range extender as a WiFi booster device that sits between your router and the hard-to-reach area. WiFi extenders work by re-broadcasting your router’s existing WiFi signal. You place the extender between your router and the dead spot area. When there are dead spots in your home, or workplace this will allow you to have coverage in those areas.
When someone trusts me to extend their network I trust Linksys. My device of choice is the Linksys VLOP. The Linksys VLOP router is a dual-band, whole home router. It’s a wifi 5 system that is good for the whole home or business. This device sometimes comes in packages of one, two, or three. Each device covers 1500 square feet, and with three you can cover a total of 4500 square feet. You can connect up to 45 devices to the network.
One thing I love about this router is that it comes standard with a 3-year manufacturer warranty, and you can get customer support 24/7. That’s a good way to show that you stand behind your product. This device updates itself. I like the mobile app. It has excellent parental controls. You can isolate each device on your network, and you can set the the internet starts, and stops. I would of liked it so much better if you could adjust the parental ratings for devices connected, but its ok because this router has more then enough features to make it an elite buy. Speaking of elite buy, This item is on sale for $99 at Amazon
